Floor Decals — common questions
Are floor decals actually slip-safe?
Yes — the textured over-laminate is rated for pedestrian floor use. It is the same class of finish used for supermarket floor advertising.
How long do floor decals last?
On smooth interior floors with normal foot traffic, expect 6–12 months of clean appearance. Forklift traffic, grit, and aggressive scrubbing shorten that; edges are always the first to go, so press them down hard at install.
Can I mop over them?
Yes — standard mopping and auto-scrubbers with neutral cleaner are fine. Avoid stripping chemicals directly on the decal; they attack the laminate edge.
Do they come off cleanly?
On sealed floors, yes — lift an edge and pull back slowly at a low angle. Any adhesive residue removes with citrus adhesive remover. Unsealed or waxed floors can pull finish; test a corner first.
Can floor decals go outdoors?
The standard product is rated for interior floors. Exterior concrete and asphalt need a heavier system — request a quote and we spec the right material for the surface and season.
How do I install a floor decal?
Clean and fully dry the floor, position, squeegee from center out with real pressure, and press every edge hard. Edges take the traffic; the instructions in the box walk through it.
