The base material is a 5-year exterior-grade vinyl with UV-stable inks, the same stock we run for storefront jobs across New York. It handles rain, sun, freeze-thaw winters, and washdowns on trucks and equipment. Indoors, the same decal simply lasts longer. If your job faces harsher abuse — chemical exposure, marine conditions, constant abrasion — request a quote and we will spec a laminate that matches it.
How to size a vinyl decal
Measure the space, not the artwork. Decals read best with breathing room: on equipment, size to about two-thirds of the flat panel; on glass, a third of the pane at eye height; on packaging, big enough to read at arm's length. When two sizes are on the table, order the larger — undersized decals are the regret we hear most. The presets on this page are proven starting points; the width and height fields take anything between them.

Custom Vinyl Decals — common questions
How long do vinyl decals last outdoors?
The gloss and matte vinyl we print on is manufacturer-rated for 5 years outdoors. Indoors, decals routinely outlast that. Sun exposure, car washes, and harsh chemicals shorten life; lamination on request extends it.
Can vinyl decals go on any surface?
They bond best to smooth, non-porous surfaces: metal, glass, sealed wood, painted drywall, and most rigid plastics. Textured surfaces like brick or raw concrete need a quote so we can spec a high-tack material.
Can I remove a vinyl decal later?
Standard vinyl is permanent — it comes off with heat and patience but can leave adhesive on delicate finishes. If you know you will remove it, order removable vinyl instead.
Do you print white ink?
Yes. On clear vinyl we back your colors with white ink so they stay vivid on glass and dark surfaces. Note it in your order or say it in the design-help instructions.
How fast will I get my decals?
Free proof within one business day of ordering, production 2–3 business days after you approve it, then UPS Ground 2–4 days. Rough rule: about a week door-to-door from proof approval.
Is there a minimum order?
Yes — orders start at $50.00. Small decals hit the minimum quickly, so it usually pays to add quantity; the calculator shows the per-piece price falling as you do.
