Wall fabric is the safe default for painted drywall — it repositions and never tears paint. Matte vinyl is the budget option for long-term installs on smooth surfaces. All wall materials install without professional tools.

Measuring a wall for decals
Measure the full wall, then subtract the fixed obstacles — outlets, switches, thermostats, door swings. The graphic wants to sit centered in the remaining visual field, usually with its center at 57–60″ from the floor (gallery height). For murals wider than 52″, give us total dimensions and we panel the artwork with numbered pieces and an overlap map. The proof shows the paneling before anything prints.

Wall Decals — common questions
Will wall decals peel my paint?
Wall fabric will not — its adhesive is designed for painted drywall and repositions freely. Removable vinyl is also paint-safe on properly cured paint. Wait 2–3 weeks after fresh painting before applying anything.
How do I cover a wall wider than 52″?
Large murals print in vertical panels that butt or overlap a few millimeters. We panel the artwork for you and number each piece — mention your full wall dimensions in a quote request.
Do wall decals work on textured walls?
Light orange-peel texture: yes, with wall fabric. Heavy knockdown texture, brick, or concrete block: request a quote — those need a high-tack material we spec case by case.
Can I reuse a wall decal after moving it?
Wall fabric, yes — peel and re-stick multiple times as long as the adhesive stays clean. Vinyl decals are one-shot: they remove cleanly but are not designed to reapply.
How long does a wall decal take to install?
A 2-foot logo goes up in about 15 minutes with the taped-hinge method. Full murals run an hour or two depending on panel count. Everything installs dry — no paste, no water, no pro required.
Can you print a photo as a wall mural?
Yes, if the file is big enough — photos want roughly 100–150 DPI at final size. Upload it and we check; if it is marginal, we tell you the largest size it prints cleanly at.
